I generally eat three good meals per day, and often, but not always, have a light meal before bed. I don't count calories, or grams of protein/fat/carbs,
but I do try to eat each macronutrient at each meal. I don't deny myself any kind of food, but tend to limit the amount of sweets/puddings I eat to 1 or 2
per week.

I have been following more of a "Warrior Type" Diet lately. I rarely eat b-4 noon and eat my bigger meal in the evening. I do it out of convenience
more than being on a diet. I dieted enough when I was in competition.

Hey griffn, the 5-6 meals a day protocol is really what got me thinking about this question, I wonder whether it is really necessary. I know that this is the
accepted mainstream advice on ideal eating but I just don't have the the inclination to plan and prepare 5-6 meals a day, and I wondered how many of the
users of this board do. I can see that if someone needed to gain weight then they must put the effort in to get as many feedings as possible, but I don't
fall into that category. I hear what you're saying about counting calories and macronutrients, and I have done this in the past, but I've found that I
have as much success in regulating my bodyweight by portion size control. I would estimate that I eat in the region of 3,000 calories per day and about 250
grammes of protein (ie 1g of protein to every 1 lb of b/w) give or take a few grammes either way. As a matter of interest, what is your bodyweight and
calorie/protein intake?

Tarwx whats up bro??!!! I eat 4 meals a day. Can't squeeze in the 5-6 that would be ideal (seems like all I do is eat with just the 4!!). I,like you, do
not like to split hairs with diet. I count calories and protein intake, which you really should do,especially if your trying to watch your weight (fat) gain.
Its not that difficult to do and will keep you on track better. You may think your getting enough protein but if you count your grams you may be surprised.
Same with cutting or gaining weight, sometimes you may think your eating above maintenance but your really not, and vice versa.
