Take it easy brother. A year ago when the Yankees were on the outside looking in, none of the Hollywood crowd was anywhere to be seen. And if they stumble next year then Kate will be a no-show. And the same NY media that is proclaiming Girardi as a genius today will be calling for his head if they struggle next year.

I guess I have proven once again my ability as a prognosticator---WRONG again! I guess you can win with a three man rotation with a little luck and a lot of Mariano Rivera. I'm glad the Yankees won. Having the series return to da Bronx has generated millions of dollars for the City of New York. The city definitely needed the revenue. Hopefully, maybe Bloomberg won't close any firehouses next year.

I really don't know much about the Phils, and I, too, don't like manny or his act. Even though the Yanks won last night, I'm still not convinced about Burnett- he's got to be consistent. And, you're right, a 6 or 7 game series would not be good for NY. I do know that the people sitting in the stands at the stadium last night looked VERY cold.

the sox are gone so all I can do now is root against the Yankees (sorry Jim). I do like Torre but hate to cheer for Manny. Phillies repeat maybe???? Yanks probably will win it. Three man rotation could hurt them if the remaining series go deep tho.

Any thoughts/opinions about the upcoming League Championship Series' ? It would be nice to see Torre's Dodgers play the Yankees in the World Series, but I have some doubts about the Yankees. Even though they swept the Twins, the could have very easily lost games 2 & 3. Plus, the Angels have had their number. Plus, they have no clue what to do with Joba. The NY media have pretty much crowned the Yankees with the world championship already, but if the should fall flat on their faces against Anaheim they will be calling for Girardi and/or Cashman to be fired.
