We still use the same exact course but have increased the weight and decreased the drops. You get better at it with practice for sure. We always do this after a workout so you are already tired. In the film we just wanted to show 20 seconds inside the gym to show he just finished an hour workout before we went outside. The drops have greatly decreased and the record has gone from over 10 down to just one with much heavier weight too! In the video (circa 98) it was only about 60 pounds in each hand. We now use the Atomic Athletic long FW handles and have it loaded to 110 in each hand. I got the 110 in each hand around the block only putting them down TWICE when I was 52. Thats not the WST record though. Dan Cenidoza and Joe Aben tie for the record with just ONE drop. No one yet has gone around the block without putting them (the 110's) down. Dan came the closest do doing it as his first drop was about 60 feet to the finish line. As soon as someone does it we'll increase the weight to 115.
