Thanks Keith for the great post. My nephew Cameron Whelan is a great story deserving of mention on this day. I'm proud of him. He recently received the Bronze Star. He volunteered for combat in Afghanistan when the war first started. He served his 4 years, was in combat, and got out with an honorable discharge. THEN HE SAID HE "MISSED IT" SO HE RE-ENLISTED to go back and was sent to Iraq a few years ago when it looked bleak and was at its worst over there. He saw combat again there too! He is now in the reserves. He is one crazy, patriotic and brave mfer! I know we hear alot about the greatest generation, and I agree with it. But not all kids today are bad either. There are a lot of great & brave great kids today who risk or give their lives for us every day and they VOLUNTEERED TO DO IT! If you see a serviceman in uniform at the airport or anywhere, say THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE to them.
