been reading alot of superslow stuff lately. Very scientifically backed info thats for sure. Anyone got any thoughts/experience with it. 10/10
cadence(officially). I did try it awhile back and remember hating it but may give it another shot. Anyone want to talk me out of it???

We use SLOW TRAINING a lot at WST mostly as a change of pace but I have a few clients with an injury history that we use it all the time for. It's a very
safe way to train and great if you get a lot of training injuries. Its also tough too. I'd stay away from the "official" TM version
"SUPER"slow as they are very cultish. Every method is "scientific" ...check out the NSCA sometime... they probably have more
"science" than any of them. Every group has its own pet researchers so its really the "image of being scientific" that I think you mean as
they ALL WORK and all use "science" to back themselves. Stay independent and think for yourself and try slow training (but ignore SUPERslow TM.)

I agree with Bob. The "slow pokes" seem to be of the opinion that their way of training is the ONLY way to train, and if you disagree with them, then
you are wrong. Being able to think for yourself is the best dogma to follow when it comes to training. I remember Bob once writing a nice article about dealing
with the super-slow guys. Personally, I have only tried it once or twice on specific movements with Drew years ago. It is safe, and effective, but I never
really took a liking to it. I know that Drew used it a lot and even purchased the equipment with super-slow training in mind.

They are extremely cultish. I read recently that a trainer was driving down the street and saw a client jogging and pulled over and made them stop!!!!! they
are religously against cardio work. They contradict themselves alot also. I read that you should feel that you can repeat your workout 20 minutes after its
completion (article was about intensity enhancers). then they go on to tell you to take 10-12 days between workouts? if you feel ready to repeat the workout in
20 minutes why would you need to rest almost two weeks? Also most want you to do 3 exercises leg press,a push, and a pull. I'm all about abbreiviation but
thats unbalanced. Counting rep cadence stinks also. But I would think that if you don't you will slowing speed up as the weight gets heavy. Bob do you guys
count rep cadence? I have been reading the official TM version of superslow mostly. They are mostly ex-nautilus,Arthur Jones followers. Always like to read
about sensible training methods. Is rep cadence irrelevant as long as your not throwing and dropping?

I would burn that official version TM SUPERslow book. Like I said you can try or use slow speed training on your own without getting involved with these nuts.
We try different speeds but are not anal about things like being a second off or moving a facial muscle etc. :-)
