In the military, there is a lot of bonding especially when you are in a foreign country. You and you training partners become close buds too so there is a lot of dares and hazing stuff in the typical military tradition. At that time ROCKY #1 just came out and eating eggs out of the blender was popular with a lot of the guys to show they were hardcore and tough like Rocky etc. You know how it is..... we were young and in our early 20's so we were a little crazy. Anyway, I wanted to top them all so thats why I did it. And yes, I put the whole egg in my mouth and just chewed it up raw, shell and all and swallowed the whole thing. I chewed the shell a long time till it was just a powder high in calcium. :-) It was never matched. :-) I did this a lot at powerlifting meets in public and would act a little crazy on purpose to psyche out the competion.

Some of the guys at the 6th Capital City Strength Clinic in 2002 read about this in HG like you did and asked me to do it. I think it was Sean Toohey and Drew Israel. They even brought me 2 raw eggs and thought I was full of BS and dared me.. so I popped them in my mouth and chewed them both up. They got a big kick out of it. I haven't done it since. Its kinda dangerous due to salmonella poisoning so I guess I was lucky.
