The many loves of A-rod have been dominating the front pages of the NY Newpapers for the last week. EVERY day he and/or his wife and/or Madonna are on the front page. You would think there is nothing else going on in the world. A sad fact of life is that last week, two NYC residents were killed while serving in Afghanistan. One of them was a NYPD Lieutenant. Their tragic deaths were listed on page seven. Pathetic. Maybe it's naive to think that the death of a Police Officer killed while protecting his country overseas should rate a little higher than a-rod and his circus. Maybe a-rod should have signed with the sox----afterall, why should we have all the fun reading about his escapades on a daily basis?

Sadly, and what is not mentioned in the papers, is the fact that his kids are the true victims in this whole mess. It's getting to the point of ridiculous, every day in the papers. It just won't stop, but I guess it's good for madonna. It's just more attention for an attention-hungry, has-been who hasn't had anything worthwhile to say ( or sell ) in years. It could only help her upcoming album ( God knows that if she had to make it on sheer talent alone she would be an unknown entity.)

The strippers are still in the local NY papers. This story won't go away for a while. Even the death of Bobby Murcer- a much loved NY sports figure- didn't kick a-rod off the front and back pages.

BTW, I can't you're rooting for them either! What's the world coming to when a sox fan roots for the Yankees? Even if it is for one two-game series.
