came across a sick show on, I believe, the Learning Channel. Called Supersize She. Follows a woman professional bodybuilder around. Wow what a freak show!!
This show is a perfect example of why bodybuilding is such a whack job subculture!!!! Seeing as how men's bodybuilding is all but dead,I can't imagine
anyone follows the woman's side??? If anyone cames across this check it out. It's kinda like watching a slasher flick, you don't really want to see
the gore but morbid curiosity will keep you watching

Yeah, I have seen most of this story. When it first came on I was not really paying attention, or looking at the screen and the gal was talking. I thought they
were interviewing some guy. After I watched for a few minutes I still wasn't sure if it was a guy or a gal. Kinda scary. Just don't understand why
people want to do that to themselves.

Wasn't that bizarre?? You couldn't help but feel sorry for the woman even tho she thought she was doing a great thing!! That channel every once in a
while has a show on some kind of weight training. The man with the exploding arms (we have gone over that freak show before) also I saw a show along the lines
of "The Science of Super Strength" or something similar. It wasn't bad it showed an olympic lifter and how they use science to aid his training.
If you come across it check it out,you rarely find anything on strength training on T.V.

Wouldn't it be great to have a program or channel devoted purely to strength training? Natural, drug-free strength training. Something along the lines of
the inner circle, but televised. Nothing like bodyshaping, or the BS exercise shows that ESPN used to air, but real, useful training, hard work on basic
exercises. Oh, well----it doesn't hurt to dream.

It would be great, but how long would it last? "these guys want me to squat hard"? "these guys want me to deadlift"? "they want me to
lift so hard that I almost fall down at the end of a set"? I THINK I'LL CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!!! Jim just to let you know,I think I did post this
before,in case you missed it. There is a dvd that is a "best of" Steve Jeck's cable tv show called Cellar Dwellers. The show was exactly like
what you just posted. The dvd is exerpts not total shows, but I got a kick out of it and I'm sure you would. Its over on Ironmind.

I will be placing my annual pre-holiday Ironmind order just as soon as the catalog comes out, and I'll be sure to order a copy.
Yeah, I guess it would be very easy for the typical viewer to channel surf over anything that resembles hard work. Hard work doesn't sell. High rep squats or deads won't draw viewers like bikini-clad bimbos doing push-downs, or cable-flyes. If I ever win lotto, creating such a show will be my mission. |

What could be better than training hard, and sharing your experiences with other like-minded individuals? Now that I think of it I still have a couple of
Brooks' dino videos from back when. They were informative and inspirational. I know that Drew had a large collection of videos of various strength training
clinics--including Dr. Ken, Arthur Jones, Ken Mannie, etc. I even still have videos of Bob's Capital City Clinics. Again, if you like to train hard and
appreciate hard work, then these videos are worth their weight in gold. If you're a toner/poser, then they would have no value. Just like when it comes
down to reading material---those who read the so-called muscle mags (rags) as opposed to those who have a different perspective.

I would like to see some of Dr. Ken's vids where he trained guys like Jamie LaBelle, or Kevin Tolbert. I have never met either one of those two gentlemen,
but I heard plenty of stories of how they trained. It would be inspiring, to say the least.
