Hi Bob,
I would be grateful if you (and everyone else) could give me your opinion on this by Phil Pfister,
Every interview he does he says something anti drug. . .
What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a strongman? Patience, have fun, be drug free.
Which current strongman do you admire now & why?
Me - i'm drug free!
in this you tube video "I wanted to do everything and anything possible short of using drugs"
(40 seconds in)
Phils trainer. . .
"Phils 100% natural, which means we has to train a little bit different than somebody that can recover in a shorter period of time because they're doing different types of drugs to help them recover"

I don't slight my competitors if they choose to use them, but I'm not sure we'll ever get to know the true limits of man's strength if we're relying on this stuff."

Phil Pfister, a Charleston, W.Va., strongman who has reached a Top 5 world ranking without steroids, says he feels that Perry was a victim of a society that "focuses on the quick fix and the magic wand for everything."
He is also proud, he said, that he has always been drug-free and has succeeded in a sport where the vast majority, use performance-enhancing drugs. He speaks often to school, church and civic groups about achieving goals, and about staying clean and healthy.I feel everyone should make a contribution, he said, and that?s my way.

Pfister: My best bench is 405 for a double. Ive done an 805-pound partial deadlift and only a 675-pound full pull from the ground. I think Ive done 550 [squat] for one with only knee wraps and a belt.
