All it takes is one win and you guys are ready to crown the sox?!?! What's next---giving the celtics the crown because they beat cleveland the other day??? Wait---how are the bruins ( or broons) doing? Seriously, I was talking with some friends and we kind of discussed what would happen if the sox swept the yankees in Boston----will the NY media call for Girardi to be fired? Two days ago the local papers were all writing about how many ways the yanks can repeat. Maybe they should remember that there are a lot of good teams in the AL, with a couple right here in the East.

Its over Jim, I could see it in the Yankee's eyes! They KNOW they can't beat the mighty Red Sox. Come on even Neil Diamond is on our side. Sabathia got tired after 3 innings and throwin 40 pitches. The New York fans outta pool some money together and pay for a few visits to WST for him.

It might take more than just a few visits. But then again, some heavy-set pitchers seem to thrive: Mickey Lolich, Terry Foster, David Wells, to name a few. And it will be over if the yanks lose again-----at least in the eyes of the NY sports media. It's too bad george steinbrenner is out of the picture. A couple of good ol' boston ass-kickings would be enough to send him into a rage ( the only thing worse than losing to the mets is losing to the bosox.) We'll see what happens tonight.

Sox 162-0 this year! all kiddin aside, what a great rivalry! first game of the year and it was back and forth all night. Some concerns for Sox also. Beckett didn"t look too good either. And Ortiz is a big concern. They need him to recapture at least some of his thump. But hey, we beat the Yanks-----all is well!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not if umpire Joe West has anything to say about it. It seems our teams have pissed off the umps. Although, to be fair, the games are way too long. If the networks would cut some of the commercials, then maybe the games would end within a reasonable amount of time.

Just like the world series last year, the games didn't end until almost midnight. What about people who have to wake up and go to work or school? There's got to be a better way.

Well if that's the case, save some jabs for the next yankee-bosox series. Maybe it helps to have something to motivate him-----as if the mega-milions aren't enough! I like that---sabathtub.

ya can't remember if I made that up or heard it somewhere. The Yanks are rolling, the Sox are floppin! still early I know, but hoped the Sox would start strong. Sabres Bruins tonight. 1-0 games all series. Used to be a good rivalry. Although dominated by Bruins,Sabes always went down hard! Jim you partial to Sabes, being a New York club.

Actually I never really rooted for the Sabres. I live on Long Island, so I always rooted for the Islanders. And since they haven't made the playoffs in years, I don't really follow the nhl playoffs. I wouldn't mind seeing the bruins, or broons as you probably call them, win.

It's a L-o-n-g season. Wait until the summer, and then see how everyone is doing. I remember a year ago, I had already written the yankees off, and look what happened.

ya too much can happen over the course of a baseball season. But the Sox gotta beat the Yanks and Rays at home at least. And they looked over matched big time. they are on a little roll, but beatin Orioles and Jays? We could put a team together off this forum that could play with those two!!!!!

What happened with the O's????????? The papers here say that the Yanks will pull vazquez from the rotation in Boston---the guy has been horrible. Sox/Yanks is always a great series-- just hope that they don't play each other too often too early in the season--it's always nice to have a crucial series at the end of the season.

Hate to jump off the bandwagon (especially when I shot my mouth off!) but the Sox aren't even gonna be in the mix at the Allstar break. They don't have "it" and it looks like their not gonna get "it" anytime soon. Swept by the Orioles!!!!!!! Oh well the Broons are overacheivin
