Hey, at least you have several sports to follow. Here, if not for the Yanks, there would be NOTHING. The knicks are still a joke, rangers just as bad, the islanders are a huge embarrassment, giants were a huge disappointment, and the jets, despite rex ryan's bravado, are still a work in progress. The Yankees are all New York has to root for.

I'm not sold on the jets. As for the yanks, it looks like the sports illustrated cover jinx might be at work here--the "core four" were on the cover and three of them are now hurt. Here's hoping Jeter stays healthy.

As long as he isn't going around assaulting women, then even a sophomore jinx will be a minor setback. I guess we'll have to wait a few more months.

Yeah, good old LT.  I guess the trial will be a typical media circus. What a jerk.  Speaking of which, check out the latest sports illustrated--it details the behavior of roethlisberger.  What a complete a-hole.  But he's not alone, today's so-called superstars are as bad, if not worse, than ever, yet the way they get their asses kissed by everybody- fans and media- is an absolute disgrace.

The hangers on that you talking about also contribute to his problem. And, what's worse, is that many of these hangers on are off-duty cops, who are there to provide for his "security." I think a lot of problems with these so-called celebrities/superstars, is the wall of people they surround themselves with. These toadies will not keep him out of trouble because if they go against their boss, they're gone, then no more meal ticket, no more reflected limelight, no more rubbing elbows ( and other body parts) with the rich and famous.

The Steelers are a class organization, and he has given them a black eye.  Supposedly there was some thought of trading him--don't know if I believe it or not.  Even though he has won two super bowls, how can you carry a thug?  But, I guess other teams have carried guys who have committed crimes, and Pitt's rationale will be to say that roethlisberger has not been convicted or even indicted.  As for the great LT, the New York media has lionized him since he broke in, despite of his drug problems, arrests, etc..  As great as he was as a player, and he was great, not the greatest like everybody says, but still great, he probably could have been even better if he had taken better care of himself and grown up just a little.  Oh well, superstars will always make their own rules.
