KCSTRONGMAN and NAS Inc present Missouri's Strongest Man: The Gus Lohman Memorial VII on June 12, 2010. This year the contest will be held at the Belton Hangar in Belton, MO. We have a very cool selection of events this year. We will have a giant circus dumbell clean and press for reps. We will have a Conan's wheel for MAx distance. We will have a farmers walk (made out of oxygen tanks)/sled drag medley. We will have a head to head bus pull. And we will have a monster keg medley. This is a Platinum sanctioned event with the top 3 in each division qualifying for nationals. All proceeds will go to Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer. Admission for spectators is free. since it's inception, this contest has raised around $13,000 for Camp Quality. It is named after my gradpa, who was the toughest man I have ever known. He never backed down from a challenge, and was unbeaten in wrestling matches. He was told at 60 that he had cancer and had 6 months to live. He lived over 20 more and farmed 465 acres until just the last couple. If any of you all are in the area, you ought to stop by.
