Hello All!
I am sure you have heard this before but I will say it again . . . working out with Bob is better than any therapy in the world. Even though the schedule I got is quite grueling, after a session on the iron with Bob, even though I am tired and spent, I feel so ENERGIZED from all the work that I accomplish there. It is quite paradoxical - one works hard, grinding away at the iron to the point of fatigue, lakes of sweat and even nausea, and yet, you feel uplifted. I am sure the endorphins have a lot to do with it but in addition, when focusing my mind there, jettisoning all the mental and spiritual baggage, I do feel renewed, mentally and spiritually ready to take on even more challenges. What a nice surprise! (Oh and Bob, GOD BLESS you for the workout and great gifts! You are in my prayers!!!)
Also, another nice surprise . . . after doing some reading and research about the iron game, I found out that a true great master was born in and came from my own hometown and birthplace of Perth Amboy, NJ - John Grimek. This was certainly a surprise since I have lived in Perth Amboy most of my life (excepting my days in the US Navy and at seminary here in Washington, DC). My family has lived there ever since emigrating from Ukraine to the USA in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Being that I am a newbie to the iron game, this certainly was an awesome surprise! I am definitely going to have to do some more research on Mr. Grimek in Perth Amboy when I go home between final exams and ordination . . .
Until next time, blessings to you all!
