My second training session with the Amazing Grip Master Aaron Corcorran...
Being exposed to grip training in just one sesion and adding some key components to my regular routine has incresed my strength in my triathalon training.
The farmers walk was probably the most noticible exercise that made a difference. Aaron set me up with 90lbs in each hand with a 1an3/4 inch handled farmers carry weight set, and had me carry them roughly 60 feet. Dropping twice and pulling with my shoulders I finished winded and beat. (I know some of you BEASTS out there are snickering at that) but for me this was the first time I have ever tried something like this. The very next day I was able to swim a mile and beat my usuall time of 46 minutes by 3 minutes (43 min). 2 weeks later I accomplished something I have not been able to do my whole life, I completed the mile swim using only the free style/crawl stroke. Usually I have to do 50% free style and 50% breast stroke because my shoulders start to burn out.
Aaron Corcorran is a great instructor and trainer and I have found new ways to progress my sprint triathlete training to a whole new level.
Thank you Aaron.
