I'm currently 247lb at 6'0 with a lage frame. The other year I was down at 200lb and people were worrying I looked too thin. Bascially i'm a big bloke anyway but do need to loose a good bit.
Since starting my job I haven't been eating well, though I have been training, and I guess it's telling. One problem is I work with kids who are out of mainstream school for various behavioural reasons. Part of what we do is eat breakfast with them, often dinner and cook with them and eat it too. And there's no doubt that I love my food. And if I get tired and unwell I love it even more, though, you couldn't call what I eat then food!
I'm currently training for rowing on a wednesday night, racing at rowing on a saturday (otherwise kayaking) and then doing my whole body HIT on a sunday. But it's all going to need looking at as I end up fitting other activity in there and I'm getting towards the run down end of things.
I'm basically planning on cutting out the meals at work and just having a cuppa with them and helping cook the food and tidy up, not eating the junk I've slid towards. In the past stopping eating junk outside my meals has been enough for me to lose it.
On the exercise front though I'm struggling. I love doing stuff outdoors, especially now it's summer. The rowing and kayaking just don't seem to work with the weights and I don't want to drop any of them! To be honest the kayaking is probably the biggest problem as endurance based exercise gives me big issues with my health, bit of a bummer as I love it and do it withthe family.
I welcome any suggestions on the weight loss and exercise balance as it's doing my head in...
